Rebecca Densmore started in Emergency services right out of High School after doing a ride-along with a family member who was a medic at the time. She was instantly hooked and signed up for EMT school the very next day. After EMT school she continued her Emergency Service career as a Police dispatcher in Las Vegas NV. After relocating to Houston for her husband’s job she went back to dispatching for the Missouri City Police and Fire Department for a total of 6 years. During that time, she completed fire school and became the 1st female firefighter for the Richmond Fire Department, where she worked full time for 2 years. Her EMS road eventually led her to Cypress Creek EMS where she was a dispatcher, an Honor Guard member and the Director for the Resilience Team. Currently she is a dispatch supervisor for Harris Fort Bend ESD 100 Westcom communications center. She has been married for 19 years to her husband Mark. They have 3 biological kids and they are also a foster family. When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her family, go fishing, camping, the beach and running. During her time in EMS she has seen the effects the job can have on employees and their families. In recent years, she has seen the increased need for this team after losing two dear friends and fire fighters to suicide after struggling with PTSD.
"As we all go through our careers, we are going to have hard calls and outside stressors. Through this team we have an opportunity to come alongside, build up, listen to and support our fellow brothers and sister in need".
